Hi I'm Maëlys, I'm from France and Moaz, 21 years old, contacted me on Whatsapp to explain me his situation, he lives in terrible conditions in Gaza with his family. Before 10/07/23, he was a student in literature, but now his dreams have been destroyed.

Here is his story :

"My name is Moaz Barham Muhammad Abu Samah, and I am 21 years old. I live in the streets of Deir al-Balah with my 50-year-old mother who has cancer. I have two brothers, Lian, who is 12 years old, and Muhammad, who is 9 years old.

I am continuing to get help to buy a tent and raise money for ongoing expenses to feed my two younger siblings and myself and my mother who suffers from diabetes.

We were displaced from the north on 11/7/2023 and fled to the UNRWA refugee school. We continued for several days complaining of diseases, the spread of the virus and epidemics. After a while, we were forcibly displaced from the school by the occupation forces after they threatened to bomb the school, which targeted me and my family. As a result, my father and brothers were martyred, and we were displaced to the south after suffering."
