My name is Loretta. I am collecting donations for Moumen and his family so they can live in Gaza, build their lives, and find safety. This is his story:
I am Moumen Musallam a 33-year-old married man with 3 children: Judy, 10, Karam, 7, Sanad, 2, and my wife Kholoud, 32. My father is 75, my mother is 67, and my sister is 25. We have a home full of love and security, but everything turned upside down on 10/7/2023. Our home was bombed and destroyed over our heads. We lost some members of our large family and miraculously emerged from under the rubble. My wife lost her father and brothers, who were martyred. She went into shock and became depressed. We were displaced outside Gaza City.
In the south, we were living in a relative's house in the central governorate. Days later, the central governorate was informed of the evacuation, so we left under the weight of rockets and artillery shells, heading towards the unknown. The city of Rafah was our choice. We began living in tents that lacked the most basic necessities of human life. Living in tents is very difficult in the summer when the heat is intense, and in the winter the cold eats away at our bones. We are in dire need of assistance to rebuild our lives and search for safety. Is there any safety here?! Providing us with adequate shelter, in addition to essential basic needs such as food, water, clothing, and safety.
After 475 days of genocide, displacement, and devastating famine, I ask you to extend a helping hand during these difficult times. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact in helping us survive. If you are unable to donate, please share our campaign with your family and friends.
Your prayers for us in these difficult times are worth a lot, and we need them more than ever. My father and mother have chronic illnesses. My father suffers from ischemic heart disease and high blood pressure, and my mother suffers from heart palpitations, diabetes, and osteoporosis. They require ongoing treatment. Treatment has become scarce and expensive, and interrupting it poses a threat to their lives. Help me cover their medical expenses. My sister is a medical student and dreams of completing her studies in human medicine.
May God reward you for your generosity and kindness many times over. Thank you for your time and for reading our story. We ask God to protect us and our families. Hand in hand, we can achieve the impossible. Your little support makes a big difference to my family. Thank you. Moumen Musallam
