Help Mo with her double lung transplant!
Donation protected
Maureen (Mo) Mason was born with a genetic lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). She is vivacious, strong, loyal, and above all an amazing human being! Mo is a wife and a mom to two outstanding boys and fur babies! She truly is the definition of a fighter, she has battled CF and many other illnesses all of her life. Mo never complains and never lets anyone know how bad things really are because she won’t allow her illness control her.
Unfortunately over the past few years Mo‘s condition has gotten progressively worse. She has had numerous bronchial embolizations to stop extreme hemoptysis as well as a third of her lungs removed due to thoracic endometriosis and long term CF damage. Thankfully those procedures gave some relief, sadly it did not last. As of September, Mo has been listed for a double lung transplant.
What people may not be aware of is the financial burden that a double lung transplant puts on patients and the families. There are numerous costs associated with having a transplant that aren’t covered by healthcare. There is also a large amount of time Shawn will have to take off of work to be by Mo’s side.
They need your help to alleviate the worry of finances during this scary time. Mo and Shawn need to focus on preparing for the operation and recovery instead of worrying about money. Any amount you can offer is appreciated more then you will ever know!
Mo is being offered a second chance at life. A chance of watching her boys grow into adulthood, be at their weddings, be a grandmother to their babies, and enjoy retirement with her extremely supportive and loving husband. This is not her ending, it is just the beginning of a new chapter and she needs your help!
