Help Mo Get Healthly & Find a Home

Meet Mo, a little Bichon (possibly mixed with poodle) that I have taken in. He has been abused and needs medical attention. The funds from this campaign will go directly to his medical bills.
The backstory: I am a New York City based reporter and I was interviewing neighbors of a murder victim in the Bronx when I first met Mo's previous owners. The man who opened the door to the apartment was extremely drunk had kicked Mo as soon as I walked in. Mo went to the corner and cowered until I clapped for him to come over. One of the owners, a woman, said they did not want the dog and told me to take him. They said they had him for more than six months; before that they said he lived with their mentally ill neighbor. Their plan was to give him to the pound.
I took Mo on the spot. (He did not have a name, so I called him Mo since reminded me a bit of a white Mohair teddy bear I had as a kid) He had feces stuck in his matted fur, and his nails were so long they curled under. In the past three days he has had a bath, his nails clipped, and has seen the vet. He had his rabies shot and other vaccinations as well as X-rays, antibiotics for his severe periodontal disease and a full exam. Mo will need most of teeth extracted. He will also need to be fixed; one of his testicles is lodged inside of him, which makes him much more prone to cancer. Removing it is the best option.
I am fostering Mo until I can find him a loving home. He is beyond sweet, is eager to please and gets along well with my rescue, Otto. He is not potty trained so I'm working with him on that. Any money you can donate would be a huge help. From what I know he has not had a good life. It's time that changed.
