Help MJ get her car & peace back

Hey friends, I’m in some desperate need of community & assistance right now. I hate to ask for help, but I have no choice. On 5/5/25, a day before my boyfriend, Darren’s birthday & 3 days before our planned trip to see family, some scumbag broke into my car while I was at work in Georgetown, DC. I was parked in a garage, in a high-traffic area, with cameras everywhere. They were bold & fast. My ignition was destroyed to the point I can’t even put my key in. My door handle was broken with the key core taken out. No items were stolen & they left the screwdriver & a knife on top of my car. While I hope the police catch them to rectify this, I can’t get my car back until I pay my $2k deductible. I have already paid over $500 to reinstate my insurance because unfortunately, it lapsed a few days prior & I had plans to pay it when I got paid. $250 for a tow because it was underground & $300+ for a rental I will need on Thursday. I simply do not have the means for this. Without my car, I am unable to safely get to work or even go get groceries. This whole ordeal has been a major hit to our household & mental health. If you can, I’m humbly asking you to please contribute anything you can to help us out of this situation, we would be forever grateful. This is the first car I’ve paid for myself, I bought it brand new 2 years ago and it is my baby. I’m devastated. Thank you for taking the time to read this & hopefully donate.
