I'm reaching out to share this story and seek your support during a challenging time. In February 2025, Mike Johnson (“MJ”) suffered a fall upon which he hit his head resulting in injuries to the C3, C4, C5, and C6 vertebrates in his neck. This unexpected accident has not only caused physical pain but has also caused significant financial strain.

Prior to his unfortunate injuries, MJ was working on his dissertation for a PhD while working as a computer applications teacher at a middle school in Houston. MJ had a great working relationship with his co-workers and students. Many have expressed how much they miss his presence in the classroom. I've witness his caring spirit first hand for four years as we worked across the hall from each other ... !

Due to the nature of MJ injuries, he’s been unable to stand, walk, and work leading to wages being lost. Additionally, his health insurance has coverage gaps, leaving him responsible for expenses: (1) Medical bills (hospital stays, surgeries, medications); (2) Rehabilitation and physical therapy; and (3) Lost income during his recovery period.
