Many of you may, and or may not, know that our sweet 4-year-old son, MJ, is on the Autism Spectrum. He is a bright, thoughtful little boy who sees the world in incredible detail. While his ability to communicate is limited, his love for people, animals, and anything ABCs shines through every day.

Over the years, we’ve explored every therapy we could—speech, occupational, physical, and even music—to help improve his quality of life. MJ works so hard, and though his journey isn’t always easy, his spirit is full of joy, curiosity, and determination.

We are now hoping to take the next step by pursuing stem cell therapy, with the hope that it will bring improvements to MJ’s health and daily life. This treatment is not covered by insurance, and the cost is great, but we feel that anything to help MJ improve his quality of life is worth it. We are pursuing stem cell therapy with Dr. Eric Weiss at North Florida Stem Cells. Dr. Weiss has an incredible story with incredible results helping many autistic children improve their quality of life. We were introduced to Dr. Weiss and North Florida Stem Cells by friends who have completed two successful sessions with Dr. Weiss and his team.

Max and I are not one to ask for help—but so many of you have asked how you can support MJ’s journey. We are overwhelmed with the outreach we have received from many family and friends who have expressed the desire to help. We don't really have a true "goal" or expectation to what we will get out of this. The procedure which includes pre screens, appointments, testing, travel, and other components will cost around $20,000 total. MJ has already received an incredibly gracious gift of $5,000 towards the procedure from close family. Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement truly means the world to us.
