Help MJ de Hond Weer Op de Pootjes

Afgelopen zondagnacht kwam ik thuis en trof mijn hond MJ zwaar bloedend aan. De woonkamer leek op een scène uit een slechte misdaadserie. Paniek, spoed, en meteen naar de dierenkliniek.

De oorzaak bleek een heftig gezwel vlak bij zijn anus – pijnlijk, gevaarlijk en absoluut niet iets waar je als hond (of baasje) doorheen wil. De operatie was noodzakelijk en gelukkig is hij inmiddels geopereerd. Hij is nog suf van de narcose, krijgt zware pijnstilling, maar hij herstelt dapper.

Tot nu toe is de rekening opgelopen tot ruim €6.000. Een deel wordt gelukkig door de verzekering gedekt, maar zeker niet alles. Daarom vraag ik – met lood in mijn schoenen maar hoop in mijn hart – of jullie ons willen helpen.

Elke euro helpt MJ weer op de been. En natuurlijk hou ik jullie via zijn socials op de hoogte van z’n vooruitgang (ja, inclusief gênante updates, want dat hoort erbij).

Last Sunday night, I came home to find my dog MJ in distress — bleeding heavily and clearly in pain. It was a shocking, terrifying scene, and we rushed straight to the emergency vet.

The cause? A serious tumor near his anus. Not exactly a polite dinner topic, but it was dangerous and needed urgent surgery. He’s now recovering — still groggy, still on heavy pain meds, but alive and fighting.

So far, the vet bills have already reached €6,000. Insurance has covered part of it, but definitely not all. That’s why I’m reaching out — hoping that, if you’re able to help, even a little, it could make a huge difference.
