Hi, I'm Miyoko, the founder of Miyoko's Creamery. I parted ways with the Company I founded in 2022, and now I have an opportunity to buy it back!

I learned just about 2 weeks The Company is now liquidating their remaining assets, and with your help, I may be able to make an offer. There is a bidding process, so there is no guarantee that I will win, but I would like to give it a try.

I have quickly formed a small group of passionate, authentic people to run the company and produce the goods. One of them is a co-packer (has facilities for producing goods). Others all have 30+ years in the industry, and I have known some for decades. We would be lean, mean (or kind!), and approach this in a grassroots campaign way. The idea is to form an organization that is more lateral and collaborative than top down. This is all happening very fast, so some details will have to come later because we have to bid by November 7 (tomorrow). In all transparency, we don't have time to research and decide because all of this is coming together so quickly, but it could be a co-op, a federation, or other more lateral organization that is more equitable.

My hope is to make an impact not just for animals but the food system, to take it back from the venture capitalists, private equity, and the multi-national corporations that are now running the food system and determining what we eat.

What would I do with the brand were it mine again? I want to align mission and vison with the products, to be a brand that stands for something, that unwaveringly fights for justice for all -- animals and humanity.

I would re-infuse the brand with the bold activism that made it famous and hope to inspire the world to make better food choices, not just for health but for the betterment of humanity and animals.

In terms of product selection, I would try to clean up what's out there right now,, and add to the line by launching clean, nutrient dense products, such as the cottage cheese that has been discussed, as well as some improved formulas for favorites such as the mozzarella. This will take time because getting product to shelf isn't done overnight, but that is the direction we'd take.

And what do I personally want from all of this? To do good for the world. To be happy. To have teammates that I like and have fun working with. To make a living but not a killing. To lead unwaveringly with conviction and vision. To inspire others to be their best selves.
