Please Help Mitchell Get Home Safely

What was meant to be a dream trip to Europe quickly turned into a nightmare. Shortly after arriving in Santorini, Mitchell began experiencing seizures and has been hospitalized since Sunday, September 21, 2025.

While all trip expenses — flights and accommodations — were paid in advance, they were not prepared for a medical emergency abroad. Unfortunately, Mitchell’s U.S. health insurance does not cover international care, and they did not have travel insurance. Now, significant medical bills are accumulating daily and must be paid in full before he can be discharged. At this time, it’s still unclear when that will be.

The current goal is to stabilize him enough so a doctor can approve him for the long flight back to the U.S., where he can continue receiving the care he needs.

Mitchell doesn’t know we’re reaching out — he would be deeply embarrassed — but we’re doing everything we can to get him home safely. If you’re able to contribute toward his hospital expenses, any amount would mean the world. And if you can’t donate, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He has a long road ahead.
