Hi friends,
My name is Kate and I run a small farm called Mitchell Hollow Farm here in Windham, New York. What started as a simple greenhouse project has grown into something much bigger …a place where I grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers from seed and share them with the local community.
Every season begins the same way: hundreds of tiny seeds, trays of soil, and a lot of hope.
This year I’m asking for a little help getting the season started. The biggest upfront costs for a small farm are seeds, potting soil, and seed-starting supplies. Before anything can grow, those materials have to be in place.
Your support will help cover:
• vegetable and flower seeds
• organic potting soil and compost
• seed trays and starting supplies
• greenhouse growing materials
Everything grown from these seeds will go back into the community, through local markets, farm stands, and by sharing knowledge with anyone who wants to learn how to grow their own food.
Farming is one of the most hopeful things a person can do. You plant something small and trust it will grow.
If you’d like to help us get this season started, your support means the world.
Thank you for helping Mitchell Hollow Farm grow
— Kate
