Hi everyone. This is Melissa, Mitchel's older sister. A few years ago when Mitchel was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer, my husband and I asked our friends and our family to come together at a trivia night to raise money to help Mitchel with his medical expenses. We raised around $8,000, and since then we have been very lucky as Mitchel's brain tumor was stable in the years following. Recently, Mitchel has learned that his tumor has grown. He has been approved for an immunotherapy therapy drug that will not be covered by his insurance. He will undergo a biopsy soon to learn more about what his treatment plan will look like. This treatment plan may include more uncovered immunotherapy medications, surgeries, MRIs, and other medical expenses. As many of you know, Mitchel married the love of his life Courtney in October of last year. They own a house, two adorable dogs, and are just getting started in their lives. Mitchel is also still employed by Mizzou's Police Department as a police officer. Medical bills piling up is not what they need right now.  I am setting up this GoFundMe to alleviate some of that stress for them. Due to covid-19, a trivia night is not really in the cards, so I am asking for your help to donate to this GoFundMe to help my brother and his wife pay for the medical treatment Mitchel needs so they can enjoy their life together
