Help Mitchel Blaha kick Cancer in the butt!

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Destiny Northrop, to those of you who don’t know me, I am Mitchels Step Mama. It breaks my heart to inform you all that Mitchel was recently diagnosed with an Aggressive High Grade Lymphoma. So aggressive, and fast growing that his family watched Mitchel go from the most active, funny, spunky, loving, down to earth little boy, to a constantly exhausted, pale, warm, always in pain, not wanting to go anywhere, or do anything, not eating or drinking, miserable little boy. In the matter of a couple weeks believe it or not. Anybody that knows Mitchel, knows that there’s nothing he loves more than to always be doing something. Wether it be spending time with his dad helping him with work, or being outside in the shed making anything & everything with papa, to being Me-maws right hand man, an amazing little helper, to being Betty Crocker in the kitchen helping me bake any and all things sweet, to just playing outside with his brother, Jeffrey Blaha and sister, Madison Mathews. Mitchel seemed to randomly get a weird bulge on his neck, so we took him to the doctors, like most concerned parents would. At first they thought it might be swollen lymph nodes, so he was put on antibiotics, for several days, in between that time, Mitchel was scheduled for a biopsy, to further assess the bulge. So we all could get a better idea of what was going on with him, and why this weird bump would appear out of the blew , and so we could get it treated, and get our baby back to the way he was. He then was given more antibiotics that he would continue to take until we got any and all results from the biopsy, unfortunately the day Mitchel was suppose to get the biopsy, the procedure got canceled due to a severe winter storm, so it was rescheduled for 3 days later. Mitchel attended the procedure, even though he was scared, Mitchel was so brave. After the procedure, waiting for the results. We seen Mitchel starting  to go down hill. We knew something wasn’t right, and when his pains began being a constant thing.  we made an appt for him, where we had gotten the news of the biopsy results, and were advised to seek immediate medical attention from the Golisano Childrens Hospital. So at that time, the wreck that we were. We rushed home to pack, and began the scary & long journey of recovery.. I am making this fundraiser, so anybody and everybody who would like to donate to Mitchel Blaha and helping him & his loving family kick cancer in the butt, are more than welcome too. I’d like to thank you all in advance, from the bottom of our hearts. It is tremendously appreciated! We couldn’t thank you enough.  I also want to show Mitchel that there are people out there that love and care about him so so much, and that we all want nothing more than him to fight, and see this fight till the very end, I will make sure Mitchel can watch this fundraiser,  watch it grow along the way. Even the smallest donation helps, and if you can’t donate, you can do something better, by sharing Mitchels story so his story can be told, and he can be recognized, for being so strong. I will do my very best to inform you all along the way. As far as right now, we don’t know the specific kind of Lymphoma Cancer, or the Stage of his cancer, just that it is a Aggressive High Grade Lymphoma, that needed immediate care. The doctors have informed us that we could be here for a couple of weeks, or even a couple of months, also that this will be a long journey, and we will take it one day at a time. Mitchel is the strongest, and most bravest 7 year old I have ever met. The doctors are doing everything and anything they can do. To keep him well, and in no pain . Everything has happened so fast, and we all are still in shock.  Any and all donations will be used toward the following:

*Transportation: back and forth, to & from
the hospital & home, for when we need more things, and make sure the rest of the family are well, and taken care of.

   * Room & board: for any and all places caregivers will have to be able to stay close , so can re-leave one another, along the way. so Mitchel will never be alone!

 * Medical bills : for any and all medical bills needed to move forward, and in order to recover Stress free.

  * Further Treatments : for any and all treatments needed from this point on to be able to leave the hospital and return home safely and cancer free.

  * Monthly expenses : for  any and all bills that are continued to be payed while away, receiving hospital care, and recommend treatments that are needed.

* Food: for any and all food needed for caregivers staying and taking care of Mitchel along the way

* Other : for any and all other necessities needed for Mitchel, the caregiver, and the family along the way,

I wanted to just share one more thing with all of you, It’s a quote that has spoke to me, and I hope it touches you all, just as it did me.
