Howdy y’all. As you may or may not know, I was hospitalized for over a week in December 2021 & had to miss 2 weeks of work. I had COVID & Pneumonia. I’ve been on oxygen since then, & multiple doctors have said I will be on it for the foreseeable future. Currently I am using oxygen tanks & need to have them delivered to my house every week (4-5 large tanks & 3-4 small tanks). I have yet to receive a bill for the oxygen tanks but I already have found out from my insurance that they will not cover them completely. While at home I have a home oxygen concentrator that I use when I don’t have to go to work or the store. I tried to get a portable oxygen concentrator through my DME but after confirming with my insurance they will not cover the portable one at all since I have the home unit. As you probably do not know, right now there is a national oxygen tank shortage as well so it is difficult to get replacement tanks. I was recommended by multiple medical professionals to get an Inogen One G5 portable oxygen concentrator. To do so this will have to be 100% out of pocket and it is something I am unable to afford. The amount I am asking for covers the cost of the machine, 2 rechargeable batteries for it, and a charger for the batteries. I hate that I have to do this but I need your help.
