When it rains, it pours. Due to age and health issues, my husband Mitch and I finally decided to retire after 30 years running our pet supply company Windy City Parrot and had sold or given away almost everything we owned and packed up our car and small camper to travel to parts unknown.

We hoped to see the sights along the way as we traveled before we found a new place to call home. Unfortunately, we had a terrible accident and totaled our car and camper. We are stuck in a Motel 8 in a small Missouri town with whatever we have recovered from our car and camper in a U-Haul truck.

We have no family and no resources or savings. The insurance on the car will barely cover what we still owe on it, and we have no vehicle or camper now. We are stuck.

We have never asked anyone for anything before, but we need help now. We have some insurance, but it isn't going to cover much. Please, if you can help in any way, it would be appreciated so much.
