If you know Misty Werner, you already know her heart — kind, loyal, funny, and strong. She’s been my best friend for years, and seeing her go through this has been devastating. She’s a loving mom, a fiercely dedicated friend, and someone who’s always there for everyone else. Now, she needs us to show up for her.

In June, Misty was diagnosed with Stage 2 Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, after months of misdiagnosis, antibiotics, and concern that just wouldn’t go away. What started as a lingering cough in March escalated into a whirlwind of procedures: two biopsies, CT scans, a mediastinoscopy, and a port placement — all leading to this life-changing news.

While the prognosis for her cancer has a high cure rate (thank God), it’s still a long, hard road ahead. Treatments are every two weeks, and the toll of appointments, recovery, and missed work is already building up — emotionally, physically, and financially.

Misty is facing over $5,000 in medical expenses, with more on the horizon. Between hospital visits and trying to keep life steady for her son, she’s doing her best — but she shouldn’t have to fight cancer and financial stress at the same time.
