Please help our family raise money to treat our beloved pet Misty for a tumor. We noticed this ball on top of Misty's head and took her to the vet, where they drained some fluid and tested it. She is more than our pet; she is our family, and we would love to have her around for a bit longer. We have had her since she was 8 months old, and she is a big part of our lives. She is a lover and loves to be right next to you all the time. (I can't count how many times I have almost broken something falling over her!) She has grown up with my two boys, and they love the cuddles and the playtime they have with her. Misty is 7 years old and still thinks she is a lap dog.
They are asking to schedule surgery within the next couple of weeks, and have currently put her on a steroid medication to relieve some of the pressure. The vet stated that because of where the tumor is, they might not be able to get all of it out, but would like to send it off to be tested to see how aggressive the tumor is. Then from there, we can make a game plan on how to treat the tumor.
The estimated cost of the surgery is between $1,000.00 - $1,899.00, which depends on how much they can get out and sending it off for testing. Depending on how aggressive the tumor is, the medication and treatment will be about another $700.00.
Any help that you may give would be greatly appreciate by our family. And regardless if you can donate please share our story. We can't image our lives without her yet. We still want to make many memories with her.
