Help misti and family fund. A simple hysterectomy gone wrong

Donation protected
This is the wound on her shoulder that athens caused. I would show the other wounds, but I really don't think anyone wants to see that. So y'all can imagine the pain she's in just with the wounds that shouldn't even be on her body.
Hi, I'm chuck Ewald misti Ewalds husband. Misti went monday March 25th to get a simple hysterectomy in athens texas. She came to her room after surgery and started hurting, so they gave her pain meds and left the room. About an hour or so later her blood pressure went down drastically. They took her to ct and couldn't see anything, so they went to icu. There she started gasping for air and I screamed for the doctors to get back in with her. The put a breathing tube in but she still was gasping. The helicopter paramedics gave her meds to raise her pressure. Athens hospital really dropped the ball with misti. All they would've had to do is give her blood and stop the bleeding internally. She got 2 bags of blood on the way to tyler. If it hadn't been for them we would have surely lost misti. It's going to be a long road and she's strong. She's been on a vent for 19 day and in a regular room for a week now. She responds with head nods when she's not sedated, and sometimes she looks at you. She has a place on her shoulder where the idiot in athens icu tried to get a central line in and it looks horrible. Athens hospital let her bleed internally and didn't help her. She had 3 surgeries to get the bleeding to stop in her abdomen. And now she's has 2 surgeries to fix a hematoma in her groin. She now has an incision about 16 inches long on her abdomen and a hole in her groin that you can set a can of coke in. She healed from those wounds very well. The wound on her bottom she battled till she passed, but she wasn't in pain when she went. I held her hand and was rubbing her head when she passed. I miss her so much, I just didn't think we didn't have any time left. Maybe I was holding on to a hope that she would just bounce back and everything would go back to normal. She never did recover from march 25, but she still was smiling though. She loved so many people and was loved by so many. She never ran into a stranger, cause they wouldn't be a stranger long. She was definitely a very special woman to me and so many others. Her smile and her laugh were so contagious. I will truly miss her and will always love her. I've never asked anyone for help, but I can't do this one on my own. She's still in the hospital and getting better slowly. She just has so much wrong with her and needs everyone's prayers. Thank you so much for your help and prayers. The site won't let me update. So today was a hard day, they tried to get her up on the side of the bed and it didn't go so well. Wound care put the wound vac back on her groin and her abdomen. She had a full day today and is so very tired. She can bend her left arm at her elbow but still can't raise her arm. She tried to get her prosthetic on today and still can't get it on because of her swelling. She still has the feeding tube in and is trying to work her arm and excercise her legs while in the bed. Thank everyone again for all of your help and prayers. I've been off work for over a month now with misti, and your donations have made it possible for me to stay with misti. Thank each and every one of you. I had to go back to work yesterday, but there's someone with misti to make sure things are done right. I'm still staying with her at night though. I can't thank y'all enough for all of your help. I've figured out that an arrogant doctor has no place in the medical field. And nurses who are here for the money should truly be ran off. They have no business taking care of anyone. The bad doctors and nurses make it hard for the good ones to do the job they love. Misti has had some awesome nurses, but has had some bad ones as well. The good ones make up for the bad ones for sure. Mrs. Yvonne I've tried several times to get in touch with you and left voicemail and you've not called me back. I'm so sorry you felt that your donation wasn't appreciated and took it back. I completely understand and I wish you well. Thank you for thinking of us. Well, as of this past monday she was overdosed and sent back to icu. I kept asking the nurses, isn't that to much, but they always just said that's what she was prescribed to get so I went along with it thinking they knew what they were doing. So she's been going through withdrawals from the meds now for a few days. It was really bad at first, but she's calm now. We don't know as of yet how her head is going to come out of this, but we're hoping for the best. Her whole body hurts because of her legs and arms whaling around. She has bruises all over her where she was hitting on stuff. She needs all of your prayers for sure now. Your donations have paid our house payment, lights, water, and insurance for the month of march. It also made it possible for me to go back and forth to be with misti this whole time. I've just started a new job, but the weather is really effecting my work and trying to be there for misti is making it impossible to make our mortgage. It's amazing how a mortgage company just doesn't care that your wife almost died, they still want their money. I'm trying so hard to do it all and make it work, but it's just so hard to be there for misti. She hurts so bad and needs so much care now, even being at the hospital still. I'm staying with her and trying to be there for her. We still need help to not loose our house. We wouldn't ask for help if things hadn't happened like they did, but they did. Thank you all for reading this far and helping. Misti has come a long way, but her body is so very tired. She's in ut tyler right now and we're talking with hospice and pelative care. We're trying to give her the best care for what's going on. She's in final stage kidney failure and congestive heart failure, and we're trying to plot the next course. She's really weak and has lost alot of weight. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and visited her, it truly makes her face light up when she sees someone she knows. I know that everyone probably thinks that we had a lawsuit against Baumgartner or that she had a life insurance policy, but that's not the case. My insurance at work didn't start till February and we couldn't find any insurance that wasn't accident only, because of her age. And in the state of texas and a few other states there's a $250,000 cap on malpractice suits. So there's no money in it for the lawyers. And that's why all of these lawyers on tv are focused on auto accidents. I know I'm being blunt, but I thought that everyone needed to know that. Thank you and god bless you all.
