Hello family and friends. I was laid off for the second time in two years on August 23, 2022. I received a two week severance with my last check and the job said the layoff was effective immediately. I applied for unemployment and have been applying for jobs and assistance ever since. With all the downsizing of jobs and the economy, it has been hard to land a job or even an interview. Since August, I have had about five interviews. Recently, I was offered a Customer Service job which was suppose to start 2/27. This was good news because this is when my unemployment would end. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my start date was moved to 04/03. I have been without income since 02/27. God has blessed me with friends and family that have helped me keep my head above water. I have had more friends and family that want to help and suggested that I start this fundraiser for them to donate to as well as for others that would like to help me. If all goes as plan, I will start work on 04/03 and will receive my first check on 04/21. All funds will go towards rent, utilities, monthly medicines I take, and a doctors visit I need to go to this month. No amount is too small and I know we are all going through rough times.
