Hi everyone,
My name is Missy, and I was born with sickle cell anemia — a condition that has taught me strength, patience, and resilience in ways I never imagined. Lately, life has thrown me a tougher challenge. My hips have been deteriorating due to a complication from my condition called avascular necrosis. In 2023 i did a hip replacement surgery on my left hip and I will in future need the same surgery on my right hip. Sickle cell has limited my mobility. I'm in pain and have been receiving daily treatments since september last year.
Between the upcoming surgery and the daily hospital bills, the financial burden has grown heavier than I and my family can carry on our own. That’s why I’m reaching out here — not for pity, but for partnership in getting my life and dreams moving forward again.
I’m passionate about singing, acting, and entrepreneurship, and I believe I still have so much to give and create. This surgery and treatments aren't just about healing — it’s about getting back on stage, building my business ideas, and continuing to inspire others who are living with sickle cell too.
The daily treatments cost $49 USD and the surgery will cost $7000 USD. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me take one step closer to recovery and to a future where I can stand tall — literally and figuratively.
Thank you for believing in me, for sharing, and for being part of this journey. ❤️
With love and gratitude,
Missy
