Our beloved flute teacher, Miss Stephanie, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She will need surgery, chemo, and is undergoing many tests.
Stephanie dedicates all of her energy to sharing her love of music with children and families. She is warm, playful, supremely talented, and one of the kindest, easiest-to-be-with, and fully present people on the planet. She is clever and funny, and she has a way of making each person she's with feel important.
Stephanie is young and deserves to be spending this time in her life having fun and dreaming about the future. Unfortunately, many of her medical costs are not covered by insurance, and her medical bills are already mounting. In May alone, she has bills for MRI, multiple biopsies, mammogram, genetic testing, blood work, and doctor visits. She is undergoing IVF fertility preservation before she starts chemo later this month.
Despite all of this stress, Stephanie has continued teaching flute lessons and sharing her many talents with children and families. When Stephanie teaches, she shows up fully, encouraging and challenging her students and making it impossible for them not to have fun with her while they are learning. Please donate if you can, and if you can't, please share. No amount is too small.
