Due to the pandemic, I got out of Georgia and am staying with family. After a dental visit (xray and exam) I realized my Georgia insurance does not work on the West Coast. At this visit I was told that I grind a lot, and have acid reflux. Because of this, 5 teeth in the back of my mouth need crowns, and 4 teeth in the front need reconstruction. I have been to a dentist at least once a year (for 6 years) because if this problem. They never told me the causes, and happily continued to take my money even though my teeth were getting thinner and thinner. It turns out they were using a filler material to rebuild my teeth, not porcelain. Now I'm being told I have to get them made out of zirconium. You can imagine how frustrating it is for me to have paid so much, only to have gotten a cheap quick-fix that now needs a more permanent solution. I know things are incredibly tough and tight for most right now. I am not expecting anything from anyone. I just want you to know that all proceeds on my GoFundMe, Patreon, and Storenvy will be going to this cause. The new dentist I am seeing says this is a borderline emergency. That I am lucky my diet is so clean, because if I was a big sugar consumer, MUCH more damage would have been done. So in a sense, we are lucky we caught this when we did.
