Help Miss Shelby Mae kick cancers butt!

Hello, my name is Alison Anderson and I'm fundraising for my dear friends CJ and Rebecca Galatas whose sweet baby girl, Shelby Mae, has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Shelby is a strong little nugget and will no doubt kick cancer to the curb but it's a 2 1/2 year treatment plan with lots of expenses and missed work for CJ and Rebecca. My goal is to try to ease some of the burdens this devastating diagnosis will cause. Please read below for Rebecca's full message to friends and family.

 

So we have waited long enough…pretty much everyone knows but we still have our FB family and friends that may not know….

One week ago Ms. Shelby Mae was diagnosed with Leukemia…yes I said what I said…Leukemia

How? Why? What? So many feelings so my emotions….we still are trying to navigate thru this journey but we are taking one day at a time.

C.j. Galatas and I have no words…we have a support system but this will be a long journey for us as a family. We have two other boys that just want their sister home and not sick.

Currently, We are residents at Children's hospital where Shelby is undergoing chemo for the next 28days. She has had a port placed and a stint(Ommaya) in her head to receive treatment. This is just the beginning to a 2 1/2yr treatment plan. I have lost count on the blood and platelet transfusions she has received and will continue to receive.

Please say a prayer for our Shelby girl and our family. We will survive because there is no other chose but I wish sometimes this cross I carry would just lighten up a bit.
