My name is Brit Oliphant, and I am hosting this fundraiser for my 4th-grade class at Kula Elementary School on Maui. Our class spent months researching the Hawaiian Creation Chant, the Kumulipo. Culminating our unit, we created a stop motion animation video to showcase student learning. A local education center, Hawaii Wildlife Discovery Center, approached us in hopes of displaying our video in their Kumulipo exhibit. My students were over the moon, they worked so hard on this project, and the thought of people in the "real world" seeing it further showed that they have a voice in our community.

 

Now we need your help... We are raising money to get our class to the exhibit, to see their work showcased. This comes with many costs, such as hiring a bus and providing lunch for each child. Can you help us?

Any additional funds will be used for school purposes, such as funding our next stop motion animation project,  and future bus rides to our school agriculture site in Keokea.
