Help Miss Julie Kick Cancer

Where do I even begin! One of the most caring people I know, Miss Julie, was just diagnosed with lung cancer. This was completely unexpected and has been devastating. Miss Julie has been sick since October 10, 2024. What started off as a typical stomach bug, as we thought, turned into vestibular neuritis. During her testing came the accidental finding of lung cancer. I'm sure you can see how that was completely devastating.

Julie is a wife and a proud parent to a beautiful family, along with a first-time grandmother. She has also been a preschool teacher in our community for 15+ years. She is currently a Kindergarten Prep teacher at the Blackstone Valley Children's Place. Julie is the first person to donate her time at local events and especially baking for any bake sale! She’s been tackling this diagnosis like everything else she has faced before, with strength and determination.

There is a long road ahead for her treatment, but we are hopeful that surgery next week will be smooth!

It is overwhelming enough having to deal with a cancer diagnosis, let alone all of the financial burden that comes along with it. Let's do whatever we can as a community to give back to Miss Julie, who has continued to give back to this community for decades.
