Help Miss Dee & Friends Get Back to Business
Spende geschützt
Hi, I am starting this fundraiser to help someone who brings joy and service to everyday, and was the victim of an absolutely heinous crime that stands to take away her livelihood and the business she's been building for a decade. Before I share more about what Miss Dee does and how we got here, I just want to say that Miss Dee has treated me and my kids like family since the day I met her. She's the only person I trust to cut their hair, and more importantly, the only person they will let cut their hair! The reason is because she cares about them as people, and it shows. I hope you all will consider helping this wonderful, hard working woman get back to doing what she loves. ALL proceeds from this Gofundme will go directly to Miss Dee to be used towards purchasing a new vehicle and building out a new mobile salon.
Now here is a bit more about Miss Dee in her words:
I’ve been a children’s hairdresser since 2013 it was then that I found my true passion and gift. I proudly service all children from all walks of life and specialize in children that have a hard time with haircuts. In 2017, I was able to venture out on my own. Cutting kids hair in the Houston and surrounding areas I started Going to people's homes cutting their kids hair in their kitchens, bathrooms, front yards, and back yards. As a single mom, my daughter would have to come with me to a lot of these appointments. My customers have welcomed us into their homes and their lives and we are forever grateful.
In 2020 I was able to save up enough money to get the ball rolling on my dream of having a tiny hair salon for my kids to come in to. I purchased everything out of pocket with no loans or grants and my customers and family were all very proud of our little salon.
After a normal busy Saturday on October 21, at about 2:30pm I dropped off my trailer at the storage facility that I’ve been parking at for over 2 years. On Monday morning OCtober 23rd, at about 8:15 after taking my daughter to school I jumped on the hwy and glance over at where I park the trailer and I noticed it wasn’t there. The immediate feeling was that of shock and disbelief. I took to social media to alert my clientele and to be on the lookout for our “hair taxi.” I go to teach a class at a local mental health facility (because the storage wasn’t open yet and I knew there was nothing that could be done at that time.) Once I got to the storage facility after my class, I immediately notice a busted gate and my fender from the trailer tossed on the side. That is what really broke me down. My heart is broken that not only me, but my kids lost a little piece of their childhood memories.
Let's rally together to re-build Miss Dee & Friends. Thank you all for your support and generosity!
