During recent storms, my mother's home suffered significant damage. Some shingles were blown off her roof, which led to massive leaks. The water damage caused a part of her bedroom ceiling to collapse, and her bathroom ceiling is now badly warped and at risk of falling. It's been a stressful and overwhelming time for her, and it's hard to see her home—her safe place—become unsafe so quickly.
