Miss Christina is a dance teacher at the Rock School for Dance Education and a loving and devoted single mom to Isabella (14) and Maximus (18). She was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease SLE Lupus which is when your immunce system attacks its own tissues and cells.
Lupus affects the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. Simple things have become difficult like walking and using her hands. She uses a walker and cane to remain mobile during flare ups. Her Lupus SLE has come out of remission and is battling as the disease activity has moved into her jaw, and the bones of her mouth and teeth. She has to get her teeth removed due to infection as they are breaking. The surgeries of reconstruction is not paid for by insurance, thus she is unable to afford them. She currently is suppose to receive weekly immuno suppressive treatments (they are much like chemotherapy treatments), but at $2,000 a treatment and not all covered under insurance, she can no longer afford these.
Christina has always given to others. She is the Outreach program coordinator where she helps over 100,000 school age children break barriers for an equal opportunity in the arts. She does not ask for help, but she has allowed me to begin this fundraiser because it has gotten too difficult and she explained, "I need to do this for my kids." She wants time with them to watch them grow.
Please share this fundraiser with others and if you are able to contribute, no amount is too small and you can do this anonymously.
