December, 2024
Meet Miss Bella! She is a beautiful West Highland White Terrier, just 7 years old. Miss Bella lives with Virginia Lucas, a retired California State Peace Officer, who has lived in the Bethany Community of Ripon, CA for more than 12 years. Miss Bella has played a vital role in the community as she is a certified service dog. She has been of tremendous help to her handicapped owner. She loves people and has given much needed love, and companionship to others, particularly the elderly within the Bethany Society. Virginia and Miss Bella love to volunteer at the local Skilled Nursing Facility.
Even though Miss Bella appears to be in great health, she was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia and leaky valve. Her Cardiologist confirmed she will have to have heart surgery to correct the valve.
After extensive research, we found that there are only two surgeons in the USA that offer this procedure. It will be costly, in the excess of $15K.
Your donations are not only greatly appreciated and a true blessing, they will never be squandered. Any proceeds not spent on Miss Bella will be donated to US Service Animals.
Thank you for your consideration and we thank those who have already donated.
