Miso is a sweet, affectionate 8 month kitten who became the heart of our home from the moment we got him in December 2024.

A few months ago, Miso was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a severe and typically fatal disease caused by a mutated feline coronavirus. Until recently, this diagnosis was considered a death sentence. But now, there is hope a treatment that has shown an 85% success rate.

We knew we had to try. We immediately started Miso on the treatment and admitted him to the hospital, where he was declared very sick. He was intubated to help stabilize his blood pressure and protein levels.

Unfortunately, Miso’s hospitalization and treatment costs are overwhelming. We love him beyond words, and we refuse to give up on him, but we can’t do this alone. While he has been doing better, he is still under treatment and needs weekly check ups to make sure he doesn’t relapse. We need to make sure he has refills for his medication, which is very expensive, and we are trying our best but need your support.
