Help Miso and her family

Hello, our 2 year old kitty Miso has had surgery after having an intestinal obstruction. The vet bill for her surgery and a 48 hour stay has hit us and its an overwhelming amount.

Miso is a loving kitty who, normally, is very energetic and playful. She was found on the streets and so she was drawn to any food she could find, especially human food. We locked up everything we could find as soon as we noticed this behaviour, but her very first night we suspect she got into some corn cobs that sat in her stomach for 2 months and then caused this obstruction.

Now 2 months later, on thanksgiving, she started vomiting and was lethargic, she didn't even perk up for her favorite treats. We immediately knew something was wrong and took her into the only emergency vet open closest to us. They took multiple x-rays, monitored her for 24 hours with IV fluids. Then she continued to vomit and was told that she absolutely needed this surgery. We were told that had we not acted immediately it could have caused permanent organ damage or worse death. To us, she is our child so we, of course, went forward with the surgery.
