On Sunday, February 22, Miska was playing in the backyard when she suddenly got hurt while running. By Monday morning, it was clear something was wrong, so I took her to Desert Cross in Safford. After some tests, the vet determined that Miska had torn her CCL and would need orthopedic surgery to recover. She had her surgery this morning and is now in recovery. I’m relieved to share that she’ll be coming home Wednesday afternoon, but her journey to full health is just beginning.
The costs for Miska’s surgery, medication, lab work, and x-rays have added up quickly. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her medical bills and recovery needs, helping her get back on her paws and back to her playful self.
Thank you for your support—whether that means donating, sharing this fundraiser, or even just taking the time to read Miska’s story. Your kindness means the world to both of us, and we’re so grateful for any help you can offer.
