Our family first became connected to Misha when he was 7 years old. Annie made a trip to his orphanage in Ukraine and through the years Misha became a part of our family. Through hosting in winters and summers, we watched him grow and although he could not be legally adopted, he is very much our son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Being with him (although miles separate) through the war in Ukraine, our heart has always been to get him to safety and we are so grateful for the opportunity the United States is providing Misha. He is officially approved to come to the U.S. but there are a lot of costs involved. The price tag seems steep, but every little bit gets us one step closer to bringing him “home” and giving him safety, peace, rest and opportunity.

$7000 will cover the initial costs to get him out of Ukraine and the other portion will cover his time in Poland, flights, medical care (for a major back problem), a bike, and more.
