Help Misfit Start Her New Chapter
Donation protected
Dear lovely people of the internet,
I'm currently writing this letter with a full heart but a lump in my throat. Our dear fabulous friend, Maddy aka Misfit—an unbelievably talented tattoo artist, a fierce spirit, and one of the kindest souls you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting—is preparing to move across the country to start a new chapter in her life.
This is a beautiful moment for her, filled with so much hope and endless possibility. But it’s also so bittersweet—for those of us who have had the privilege to know her, be inked by her, laugh with her, and witness her journey firsthand. Los Angeles is going to be losing one of it’s coolest angels.
I found Misfit, like most of us I think, scrolling her very impressive Instagram account. I booked my appointment immediately! I asked her for some very delicate, rather dainty lavender, which if you know her work, isn’t “necessarily” what she’s known for. However! I saw her attention to detail, her exquisite fine lines, and knew; she was going to capture what I had in mind. And she did! And has ever since.
What began as an art session turned into a real friendship! And that’s the kind of person Misfit is. She is a true artist through and through. One who listens, takes in, and exhales brilliances. She cares deeply, she remembers your story, she might come off shy or quiet but always enters the room with such a welcoming and grounding energy.
Now, Misfit is one thing but if you have the pleasure of knowing Maddy; then you’re one lucky human! Because Maddy is a story of resilience, grit, and relentless creativity. She’s a self-taught artist—an immigrant who didn’t let anything stop her from mastering her craft. When she couldn’t attend art school, she taught herself by watching YouTube videos and practicing on her own skin. She redefines dedication and pursue the pure definition of passion. She has turned every setback thrown at her into a stepping stone. And she didn’t just survive—she thrived.
Now, this is where y’all come in! Because as Misfit prepares to go on this journey. She's gonna need some support. And no one knows the power of community support and helping out the homies better than artist! And moving is expensive; so please, donate. Doesn’t matter if it’s $5 or $100, EVERYTHING helps!
100% of the funds raised will go towards moving costs, basic essentials for her new home, and the breathing room she will needs to land on her feet and keep creating that art we all love so much.
If Misfit has ever tattooed you, moved you, inspired you, or even just made you smile—you know how much she deserves this! How hard she’s work just to have a soft place to land.
With love,
Rose
