Help Mischa and Randy rebuild their home
Donation protected
As you may or may not know, Mischa and Randy Cohen lost the main house, pump house, and shed on their property in Bonny Doon due to the CZU Complex Fire forest fires this summer. The house that Mischa built by hand is in perfect condition due to valiant efforts by neighbors and firefighters. With the work that the infrastructure on the property requires, they will not be able to have residence on their property until at least March. Rebuilding the house that they lost will take at least a couple of years. Toxic debris removal will happen first, then power restoration. Then they will have their well system repaired. The entire pump & pressure system was destroyed. Firefighters were in their driveway fighting the fire on one side of the house and in their backyard and garden fighting the fire on the other side. The house is surrounded by white ash on all sides; it got as close as 12' in some areas. The firefighters were absolutely heroic and there is no question that they saved their home in a pitched battle. Mischa and Randy were reluctant to allow me to set up this page for them because they are not ones to ask for help, but are truly grateful for any assistance we can provide to show them our love and appreciation for who they are and offer hope for the restoration of their home, property and lives.
