My beautiful horse Mirza got injured in a freak accident on trail on August 14th. She sustained multiple cuts, one of which was very deep, and involved injury to the tendon bursa. She first had an emergency vet come see her, who suggested immediate hospitalization. She was then taken to Waller Equine where she underwent surgery, and has been staying ever since, with one short stay at home after the first two weeks, when the vets thought she was on the mend. She has now contracted a bone infection, AND MRSA above her wound, plus laminitis in the injured leg.
