Help Miri not be homeless
Hi, I'm Penelope. I'm organizing this fundraiser for my partner Miria. Miria is one of the sweetest, kindest girls I know; she has been through things in life people never should have to see, and still can smile every day. This hasn't left her in the best of positions in terms of mental health. Miria suffers from multiple physical and mental disabilities, and due to this she is unable to work even minimum wage jobs. However, she still works every day doing incredibly low paying online work, bringing in a meager 20 dollars a month she spends entirely on her partners and household. Last Monday Miria had a severe mental health crisis and had to leave her home, but as someone with no money, and the rigorous tasks and years of time required to get government assistance, there is a 100% chance that without help she will end up on the streets and die.
I've put together a support network to help Miria to what extent we can, but as we are all poor as well, the financial strain is very hard right now. Miria is currently staying in a hotel, but we have found a safe housing solution for her through one of her partners. Unfortunately, this requires her to leave the country for Europe. For this to happen, we will need roughly 2000 dollars to cover costs and ensure that Miria is able to safely make her way to the EU so she can survive and receive the care and safety she needs.
I'm including a general breakdown of costs below:
$600 for a plane ticket
$250 for a passport and expediting fees
$350 for a months worth of groceries
$800 for temporary lodgings until she can leave the country.
