Mom is the heart of our family. Her love and care for us are so special and devoted. She loves teaching kids at church, creating games and crafts that share the message of Jesus Christ and his love for us. Mireya is happiest when she’s working with her hands—painting the house, doing crafts, cross stitch, and making cakes and alfajores for everyone to enjoy.
Lately, the pain in mom’s hands has been getting worse every day. She struggles to sleep at night, and painkillers are no longer enough to get her through the day. Her left hand has carpal tunnel syndrome, and her right hand has three triggered fingers along with carpal tunnel syndrome. This pain is affecting her daily life and her ability to do the things she loves. Doctors have said she needs surgery as soon as possible, because the pain could become more severe and she may have more difficulty using her hands.
The funds raised will help cover Mireya’s medical operation and medications after surgery, so she can recover and return to her crafts, her service at church, and the things that bring her joy. I’ll be grateful to you for your help. It’s hard for me not to be with her and take care of her since I’m living out of the country, but with this, I know I am doing what I can to help her be okay again. Thank you for supporting my Mom and helping her heal.
