Our dear friend and sister in Christ, Mirela, needs our help. Those of you who have been here have met this dear woman. For years, she has had many health problems. She recently saw a new doctor who looked at her records, ran additional tests, and realized that she had been misdiagnosed eight years ago with Type 2 Diabetes when she actually had Type 1 Diabetes. This is the reason she has struggled so much with her blood sugar levels and overall health and had been told that she probably wouldn’t live more than two years unless something drastic is done. 


The doctor wants her to have gastric sleeve surgery to help her “reset” her body, possibly on May 20th. He sees real hope in getting her off of a majority of her medications, getting her insulin to what it should be, and getting her on the road to better health. Mirela is willing to take out a loan to pay for it. However, we have set up this GoFundMe to help her with the expenses of the surgery. With a young son (and so many who love her!), we want to help her to have this chance to get the diabetes under control and for her to live much longer. She is so hopeful for this opportunity.
