Hi, my name is Valene. My youngest daughter, Miranita has Leukodystrophy (it is a brain disease) and cerebral palsy. She is very limited in her mobility and uses a wheelchair. She is not able to do everyday tasks independently.
I am a mother with a disability (I am Hearing Impaired / Deaf) and have difficulty lifting her into the car seat. She has to be transported to doctors visits, physical therapy, vision therapy, and speech therapy.
As Miranita grows older, it has become apparent that our family needs alternate solutions to her transportation needs. Having a wheelchair lifting will significantly reduce the burden of transporting my daughter.
