Help Miranda Walk Again!

Hello! My name is Miranda and I've been suffering from chronic back pain since November 2019. I was still working during that time, every day with debilitating pain as a Server, thinking that my issue was just sciatica, as told by several doctors. I spent time in Physical Therapy, and deep tissue massage therapy trying to relieve the awful pain I was experiencing.

I was finally referred to get imaging, and upon getting my MRI it was discovered that I had several degenerated discs in my back, as well as three bulging discs that were very severe, pressing against my nerves and keeping me in constant pain.



Worse yet, I have steadily gotten worse to the point that I am not able to perform tasks by myself without help (thanks to many friends and my wonderful roommate who have been coming to visit and helping me while I'm bedridden!), and now it's getting harder and harder to stand let alone walk more distance than to the bathroom.

I went through much runaround with the neurosurgeon hospital. I saw the surgeon and he decided that a discectomy was the surgery direction he would go. Because I lost my job due to the corona virus pandemic, I also lost my health insurance and had to apply for the hospital's financial aid on June 3rd. Then, I heard nothing back from anyone.

Today, June 25th, I finally found someone who was able to help me. She was able to find my application and tell me that I was approved for 95% of my surgery costs to be covered by their aid program! The only catch is the rest of the 5% is on me to pay, in  full, at the time of surgery, which I am hoping to get scheduled in the next week as my condition has become extremely worrying.

The surgery is about $35,000. I have put my goal amount a little higher because my unemployment will go down at the end of july, and I still have to pay for the physical therapy provided by the hospital after the surgery, as well, and need as much as I can to continue paying my living bills until I can recover from the surgery and hopefully finally find a new job.

I know I have had so much help from everyone so far, from my friends and ESPECIALLY from my incredible family, who have gone way out if their way go help me so so SO much more than I could ever describe, but I'm asking again. Please help me get this surgery so that I can walk again. Thank you for your time and care!!
