Help Miranda Stay Afloat

So as most of you will know, I recently found out that its likely I have thyroid cancer. I'm booked in to have a hemithyroidectomy (removing half my thyroid) on the 31st August, and I'll be off work for two weeks. 

Although I'm lucky to live somewhere with free healthcare and some limited sickness benefit, I'll still be on an extremely reduced wage for those two weeks, and unfortunately I don't have the savings to back myself up. So this fundraiser is to cover my lost wages for those two weeks while I'm off - plus a little extra for food, taxis, and a safety net.

I don't know what will happen after this surgery - it could be that removing these lumps is enough, and I don't have to have any further treatment, but it could also be that I need more surgery in future, and medication to replace my thyroid hormones. I won't say I'm not frightened, because I am, but I'm trying to deal with the thing in front of me, and the rest can wait.
