As a mom, nothing is worse than someone hurting your child and feeling unable to help them in the moment.

On Sunday night, someone hit Miranda with a car while she was in a bike lane on a scooter, and they fled the scene. Her jaw was broken in three places and dislocated, and she had to have surgery, which requires her jaw/mouth to be wired shut for three weeks. She unfortunately has no insurance (I have since helped her get signed up) and she will be unable to work for several weeks.

The only person I know that is less likely to ask for help than myself is Miranda. She’s very stubborn and independent and not likely to ask for assistance, so I’m asking for her. Please help if you can. All funds will help with medical bills and to offset the loss of paychecks while she can’t work.
