Hi, my name is Miranda Kidd, and I’m reaching out because my family and I are facing an urgent housing crisis. We are a family of six—my fiancé Kavon, our four young children (entering 1st grade, kindergarten, Pre-K, and daycare), and myself.
Our lease ends August 31st, and while we are working hard to keep our current home, we are behind on rent and cannot cover the remaining balance and next month’s rent. We have faced extreme financial hardship due to recurring life events within our family, and despite our best efforts, we have fallen behind.
I work as a nursing assistant and am also a part-time student at Wor-Wic Community College, while Kavon works at Shore Appliance.
It feels strange and vulnerable to ask for help, but I have to because I have other people depending on me—my children who deserve stability and a safe home. Our children start school on September 2nd, and we are scared of them facing homelessness at the same time.
We are humbly asking for any support to help us stay in our home and keep our children safe and stable as they begin the school year. Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly to our rent and help prevent eviction. Even if you can’t donate, sharing our story with friends, family, or local community groups would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Miranda Kidd
