My name is Miranda, and I thought I would try here as a last resort. I am disabled and currently in the process of waiting for acceptance for disability benefits. While I wait for the process to be completed, I am struggling to keep up with my most urgent bills—specifically, the loan for the trailer I live in and the monthly lot rent. Until recently, my (soon to be ex) husband was helping me stay housed in our jointly owned trailer. However, he recently told me, right before the lot rent was due, that he is expecting a child in a couple of weeks and will no longer be able to help. This news has left me with nowhere else to turn, and I am terrified of losing my home.

Because of my health, I am often unable to take care of myself, let alone come up with the money needed to cover these expenses on such short notice. The funds I raise here will go directly toward keeping me in my home until my disability benefits are approved. This support will give me the stability I need to focus on my health and get through this incredibly challenging period.

Asking for help is not something that comes easily to me. I have always been fiercely independent, and losing that independence due to my health has been very hard to accept.
