Let Us Bring Miraflor Home

Hi, I am Percy Geraldizo and I am fundraising for my sister Miraflor Taboada Ramones.

My sister is an Occupational Therapist. She has been working in the US for more than ten years. She went abroad to support our family and take care of us. She provided everything for us here in the Philippines, especially for our parents. She is everyone's Manang Mira. She is our rock and our source of everything.

She got COVID and fell ill. She could not work anymore and was isolated for almost a month. She lost weight and became weaker that she couldn't even prepare her own food, clean her house, and take care of herself. She forced herself to work on days she could manage, but her condition worsened later on. She felt tired all the time. She began to feel unbearable pain in both her knees that she could not stand independently without support.

The doctor then advised her to go to the ER for further tests and management. She was admitted for five days and had a lot of tests performed. Their initial impression is bone cancer based on her lab results. This impression still needs confirmation through a bone marrow biopsy.

My sister has now been jobless with no funds and insurance coverage to pay for the lab tests and procedures. Her bills continue to pile up along with her other obligations. I am fundraising to help her pay all the pending bills and eventually bring her home. At least here in the Philippines, we can take care of her while she continues to undergo further treatment.
