Help Our Miracle Boy, Jeffery

This is Jeffery: our sweet 4-year-old mixed-breed pup who loves his mom, his three human siblings, and swimming every chance he gets. He’s gentle, goofy, and loving. The kind of dog who instantly wins over everyone he meets.

On Thursday, October 30th, our world turned upside down. Jeffery wandered off the property and was hit by a car. He suffered terrible injuries… damage to his heart, lungs, spleen, and kidneys, and severe trauma to his left hip.

He was rushed to Metro Animal Hospital in Dartmouth, where the amazing team fought to save him. The odds weren’t good; they gave him only a 15% chance of surviving surgery. But somehow, our boy pulled through. The staff now call him “Jeffery: Miracle Boy.”

Jeffery is still in critical care, but he’s improving every day. His vitals are getting stronger, and he’s showing everyone just how tough and determined he is. He has been transferred to Draper Veterinary Services Centre where Dr. Draper will be performing his hip replacement surgery, which will help him walk, run, and swim again. Once he's gotten the OK surgeon they’ll get him in ASAP — once the deposit is paid.

His mom has already spent everything she has to get him through the life-saving surgery. She’s a single mom raising three kids and doing her absolute best, but now she needs help to get Jeffery through this next step.
