Help Mira go to International SPACE University

Greetings everyone!

 

My name is Mira, 23 y.o., and I am a young space lawyer studied in Belarus and in the Netherlands.

 

From completing my first map of constellations in primary school to defending my thesis on planetary settlements during my LL.M. degree, my intent of committing my professional path to space solidified, and so did my choice of pursuing its multidimensional foundation at the International Space University (ISU).

 

I have been dreaming of attending ISU since 2020. I am beyond happy that this dream has come true - I am admitted to the ISU Master of Space Studies program, Сlass 2023!

The master’s program covers all aspects of the space domain and is designed for students from a diverse range of educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds. In this intercultural and interdisciplinary environment, I will be able to augment my space law knowledge with such disciplines as space sciences, space engineering, space applications, human performance in space, space economy, entrepreneurship, and humanities. Isn’t it exciting?

 

Attending ISU will be a huge leap in my academic and career development. In a short-term perspective, I want to join commercial space initiatives or realise my own project on enhancing space sustainability. In the long-term, my goal is to design an effective space strategy for developing countries, including my homeland. You see, the sky is not the limit for those fueled by education from ISU!

I have been fortunate to receive a generous scholarship from the university itself - 16.000€ out of 25.000€. Now, the required tuition fee is 9.000€, which I can pay in installments.

 

Unfortunately, working at a junior level means that my funds will not fully cover both the remaining fees and the living expenses in Strasbourg. I am reaching out to other potential sponsors as well as working hard to increase my savings. However, at this point, I realize that I do need help from my community.

 

Therefore, I am setting up a GoFundMe to raise 3.500€ towards the tuition fees.

 

It would mean the world to me to receive your assistance in letting me go further on a space path.
