Hello everyone, my name is Rowen. I am pleading for your financial help. My beloved cat companion since middle school, Mira, has been diagnosed with a large tumor on her liver, and her only chance at a longer, pain-free life is through surgery.

Mira's symptoms came on very quickly;

Saturday Nov 8th, she threw up her food and liquids 4 times.

Sunday Nov 9th we agreed if she threw up again we would take her to the vet, and she did.

We rushed her to the veterinarian urgent care (the only closest one open on a Sunday), and the worst news imaginable hit us like a brick wall - the xray showed a large tumor on her liver that is pressing against her intestines. The veterinary team is optimistic that with surgery, Mira can recover and enjoy more precious time with her family.

Unfortunately, the urgent care referral for surgery was around $8,000 —an amount that is impossible to meet on my own, as I could barely cover the urgent care bill which was around $600

Treatment is expensive. We are getting a second opinion from our vet on Friday Nov 14th.

We would need funds for:

• Pre-surgery scans and bloodwork
• The tumor removal procedure, which is the bulk of the cost
• Hospitalization and pain management
• Follow-up treatments, medications, and vet visits

We are giving her medication to keep her comfortable short term until we decide what to do. The other offer that they gave us was humane euthanasia, which starts at around $250. I am devastated.

Because it is a large tumor, they believe removing it can be curative as it does not seem like a fast-acting cancerous tumor, but there is no way I can afford this kind of treatment. It's a lot to process.

Mira has been with me through almost every chapter of life—from living with my parents, graduation, college, my first apartment, heartbreak, and everything else you can imagine. She is the reason I am here today, she is registered as an emotional support animal, and she is the best cat in the world. She is always the first to greet me in the morning and always the first to climb into bed with me at night. She deserves the chance to fight this and to keep living her life to the fullest.

Even if I can't meet this surgery goal, any money donated is hugely appreciated. I have been in a very financially tight spot, and the urgent care visit alone was around $600 for diagnosis, ex rays, and a nausea medication to help her keep her food and water down. Any ANY amount helps. We are paying out of pocket, I have no savings.
