This sucks, and we need help. Please.

It's been a rough couple of months for Minnie Pearl. First, she had a slipped disc in her back, leaving her partially immobilized in her backend for 6-8 weeks while we helped her recover. As we are seeing incredible improvement in her mobility, we are now facing a new challenge: Skin Cancer.

Our sweet girl has a Mast Cell Tumor on her rear left haunch that has tripled in size over the last week. This cancer is not effectively treated with non-surgical intervention. We are hopeful that this cancer has not spread to her liver and spleen (or other areas, frankly,) and we're starting the pre-surgical diagnostics this week to find out exactly what is so. This looks like:

Pre-Surgical bloodwork, including a Vitamin D check: $420

Chest X-Ray: $340

Abdominal Ultrasound: $515

We're scheduled for the Bloodwork and Chest X-Ray on Friday, 03-APR-2026. Pending those results, we'll proceed with the ultrasound next week.

If all three of these tests clear her for surgery, we will proceed. I do not have the estimate for that yet, and will know more this week. Time is of the essence-- we do not have the luxury of casually saving money for this procedure. We must be in action right now with powerful momentum moving forward.

The bottom line is that we're bleeding money, our options for credit are all tapped, and we're facing thousands of dollars in vet bills to give our baby the best chance at beating this. This is all after having spent thousands to stabilize her mobility and get us to this point in diagnostics so far. The total that this fundraiser is set to will certainly change once I have final estimates for surgery.

Within a matter of hours, we have raised 103% of the costs to secure the diagnostics for surgery preparation.

I am bursting with love and gratitude. I genuinely cannot thank everyone enough for the ability to get her seen so quickly. Her blood work, X-rays, and Ultrasound are now happening tomorrow, 02-APR-2026. We should know by the end of next week if surgery is viable for our gal.

Once I have an estimate from surgical, I will revise the goal amount to reflect our ongoing needs for support; For now, please continue to send us love, comfort, and prayer that we can proceed quickly and effectively with treatment. We are specifically hoping for a slowdown of the growth of this tumor, a clear liver and spleen, and a stable cardiovascular system.
